Flu Shots Now Available

Every flu season is different and the flu virus can affect people in different ways.  But even healthy people can get very sick from the flu and spread it to others.  For some people the flu can lead to serious complications.

How To Prevent The Flu

Of course hand washing is a great way to prevent the flu, as well as many other viruses, including the common cold.  But the flu vaccine is an excellent way to keep the flu at bay.    And contrary to popular myth, you cannot catch the flu from the vaccine.   While some mild reactions may occur they do not last long and far outweigh the potential risk of getting the flu.

Flu vaccines work by causing antibodies to develop in the body approximately two weeks after the vaccine is given.
