Dr. Leming specializes in family medicine, with clinical interests in geriatrics and managing patient’s chronic diseases and conditions.
Prior to opening Courthouse Family Medicine, Dr. Leming founded Primecare Family Practice in 1992.
He is an active member of the medical community, staying informed on healthcare policies and advancements.  He has served as Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, Richmond, Virginia since 2002.

Dr. Leming is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College in Hampden-Sydney, Virginia.  He received his Medical Doctorate at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.

Dr. Leming completed his postgraduate training at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia.
He has four children, including twins, who are now young adults.  His interests include spending time with family and staying active in the community.

Amanda Wingfield, BSRN, MSN, NP-C

Family Nurse Practitioner


Amanda has been with Courthouse Family Medicine since 2015. She joined Courthouse Family Medicine to provide excellent Primary Health Care to those in her community. Her special interests include Adolescent and Women's Health Preventative Care and teaching patients how to adjust their daily life choices to improve their overall health.

Prior to joining Courthouse Family Medicine, Amanda worked in the Medical Oncology and Labor and Delivery fields. She also worked on a Medical Surgical Unit.

Amanda is a native of Mathews County and is currently living in Gloucester County. She is married with two children. After High School she earned a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Masters Degree in Nursing from Walden University. Amanda is certified as a Nurse Practitioner through AANP. 

Leah Hurst, BSRN, MSN, NP-C

Family Nurse Practitioner

Leah is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. Her special interests include Preventative Medicine, Disease Reduction, and Palliative Care.

Prior to joining Courthouse Family Medicine, Leah worked as a Nurse Practitioner for two years and prior to that worked in the Medical Intensive Care Unit as a Registered Nurse for seven years.

Leah is a native to Mathews County. She is married with two children. After high school she she earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech, then graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. She obtained a Masters Degree in Nursing as well as Palliative Care from the University of South Alabama. Leah is certified as a Nurse Practitioner through AANP.
