Medical Director

Dr. Leming specializes in family medicine, with clinical interests in geriatrics and managing patient’s chronic diseases and conditions.
Prior to opening Courthouse Family Medicine, Dr. Leming founded Primecare Family Practice in 1992.
He is an active member of the medical community, staying informed on healthcare policies and advancements.  He has served as Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, Richmond, Virginia since 2002.

Dr. Leming is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College in Hampden-Sydney, Virginia.  He received his Medical Doctorate at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.

Dr. Leming completed his postgraduate training at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia.
He has four children, including twins, who are now young adults.   His interests include spending time with family and staying active in the community.

Vickie Bell Leming, RN, MSN, NP-C

Family Nurse Practitioner

As a Family Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing, Vickie diagnoses and manages patient’s health including common medical conditions and chronic diseases. She works independently and partners with Dr. Leming to care for patients of all ages. Her interests include adolescent and women’s health, adult preventive care and early intervention for health problems before they become overwhelming.
Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Vickie may write prescriptions, order medical tests, provide referrals and perform physical exams and procedures.

Vickie studied at Longwood University for 2 years before transferring to VCU’s Medical College of Virginia nursing school. She worked as staff nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, VA on the surgical floor and in the labor and delivery unit.  Other positions included a high risk obstetrical consultant and a middle school nurse for Gloucester County Public Schools.  She returned to school and obtained her Masters in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner from Old Dominion University in 2007. After graduation she was at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital as part of the Hospitalist team, but her first love is Primary Care. Working with her husband has been a rewarding experience.

Vickie is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and holds honors from Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society and Golden Key Society for academic honors at ODU.
Vickie’s five children, including triplets, were raised in Gloucester. Vickie enjoys family time, gardening and being on the water.

Amanda Wingfield, BSRN, MSN, NP-C

Family Nurse Practitioner

Amanda joined Courthouse Family Medicine to provide excellent primary health care to those in our community.  Her special interests include adolescent and women’s health, preventive care and teaching patients how to make adjustments to their daily life choices to improve their overall health.

Prior to joining Courthouse Family Medicine Amanda worked as a Registered Nurse at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center with specializations in Medical Oncology as well as Labor and Delivery.  She has also worked at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital as a Registered Nurse.
